Windows 7 Language Interface Packs (LIPs) provide a translated version of the most widely used areas of the user interface. Repair Internet Explorer in Windows

You can reset the program settings to repair your Internet Explorer. To do this, use the following procedure:

  1. Exit all programs, including Internet Explorer.
  2. Press the Windows logo key+R to open the Run box.
  3. Type inetcpl.cpl and select OK.
  4. The Internet Options dialog box appears.
  5. Select the Advanced tab.
  6. Under Reset Internet Explorer settings, select Reset. Then select Reset again.
  7. Select the Delete personal settings check box if you also want to remove browsing history, search providers, Accelerators, home pages, Tracking Protection, and ActiveX Filtering data.
  8. When Internet Explorer finishes resetting the settings, select Close in the Reset Internet Explorer Settings dialog box.
  9. Start Internet Explorer again.

Step 1: Download Internet Explorer that can be installed on your Operating system using the following table as guidance.

Step 2: Uninstall the version of Internet Explorer that you may have installed on top of Internet Explorer 8.0 (For Windows Vista it is Internet Explorer 7.0) that natively ships with and installed as part of the operating system.

Note

Internet Explorer 8.0 (or Internet Explorer 7.0 on Vista) will continue to exist even after you uninstall newer versions.

Use the following procedure to remove Internet Explorer:

  1. On the Start page, choose Control Panel, and then choose Programs and Features.

  2. Under Programs and Features, select View installed updates on left pane.

  3. Under Uninstall an update list, select applicable Internet Explorer version from the list (Internet Explorer 11 or Windows Internet Explorer 9) and select Yes to confirm uninstallation and restart your system to complete the process.

Step 3: Install the version of Internet Explorer that you downloaded in Step 1 and restart the system after installation.

Tip

After you reinstall Internet Explorer, run Windows Update to apply any available updates for Internet Explorer.

System Requirements

All computers installed with Travelport Smartpoint Client must meet or exceed the following minimum requirements:

·Intel Pentium/Celeron family processor or above

·500 MHz minimum required or higher processor clock speed recommended

·256 megabytes (MB) of RAM recommended, 128 megabytes (MB) minimum

·15 megabytes (MB) of available Hard Drive space

·2 megabytes (MB) of Video RAM or more

·Minimum required screen resolution of 1024x768, 17 ' monitor recommended

·Keyboard with F1 through F12 function keys

·Windows compatible pointing device (e.g. mouse)

·Windows XP Professional Edition including Service Pack 2, Windows Vista, Windows 7, Windows 8, Windows 8.1 and Windows 10

IMPORTANT NOTE:Travelport Smartpoint Client 31 is NOT compatible with Windows 98, Windows 98 SE, Windows NT v4.0 or below and Windows ME. Do Not Download if using these versions of Windows operating systems.

Travelport Smartpoint Client Customers may print a copy of the download instructions simply by selecting File, and then Print in the Explorer Toolbar. You may begin the download process by clicking on the link (Download Now) at either the top or the bottom of this section then respond as directed in the instructions. Worldspan recommends that all third party applications (except Internet Explorer) be closed during the download process.

1.Click on Run on Internet Explorer – Security Warning.

2.Travelport Smartpoint Client install default is c:wspan as shown below. An option is provided to select a new location by clicking on 'Browse'. Please note that the Travelport Smartpoint Client Product updates will require installation on each workstation.However, the user could download to a selected network drive and update the workstations locally.

3.Do not interrupt the installation process. Premature termination may cause product performance issues if installation process is not fully completed.
